About Us

Saudade (pronounced soh-dahd) is a Portuguese word that's difficult to translate to English. It's a deep emotional state; a yearning for a happiness that has passed, or perhaps never existed. It carries with it a touch of melancholy...yet in that wistfulness, there is also love.

Our mission is to create products that you feel good about bringing into your home.

After learning about the harmful additives in mass-produced candles, we set out to craft products that are free of all of the nasties: parabens, phthalates, mutagens, carcinogens, and reproductive toxins.

Our products are made with 100% soy wax, premium fragrances, and cotton wicks. Each candle is poured in small batches to ensure the best quality.
